Meet your ND: Mary-Claire Seitz, B.A., ND

Dr Mary-Claire Seitz ND, is a dedicated and patient focused Naturopathic Doctor. She graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) where she completed an intensive four-year Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine program. Before embarking on her journey to become a naturopathic doctor, Mary-Claire earned a B.A. in psychology from Wilfred Laurier University. Mary-Claire is a member of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Medicine (OAND) and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Medicine (CAND). She is currently licensed through the Board of Directors of Naturopathic Medicine (BDDT-N).

Health promotion is a passion of Mary-Claire’s, as she is enthusiastic about health and nutrition. She has always had an interest in helping others and a strong desire to work within the health care field. Finding naturopathic medicine has been a perfect fit as it allows her to take the time to understand her patients needs while proving gentle treatments in a supportive environment. She believes strongly in the principles of naturopathic medicine and has a strong desire to help her patients achieve their goals.

Mary-Claire completed her 12 month internship at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic in North York. She also did a 4 month placement at the Queen West Community Health Centre downtown Toronto. In addition to her training at CCNM, Mary-Claire has furthered her education to include facial rejuvenation acupuncture. This technique utilizes a less invasive method to reduce the signs of aging while brightening the complexion. Mary-Claire continues to strive for excellence in her practice. She continues to further her knowledge and techniques by participating in seminars and continuing education courses.

Mary-Claire is compassionate towards her patient’s needs and concerns. She is able to work with each individual to offer the best care and treatment possible while adhering to the principles of naturopathic medicine. She is able to support a broad variety of cases from men and women’s health to pain management, mental health and digestive concerns as well as general immune and nutritional support. She uses a broad range of modalities including traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture, botanical medicine, homeopathy, physical therapies, nutrition and lifestyle coaching.

Mary-Claire has always been physically active and interested in health. She is an avid skier and snowboarder. As a young child, she ski raced competitively for many years. This year Mary-Claire will be teaching skiing to children living with disabilities. Mary-Claire is excited to provide you with education and support as you embark on your journey of health and well being.
